Google Forms -

A great way survey your student's depth of prior knowledge before planning a unit!

I hope to use Google Forms this fall as a pretest, gathering understanding of what is already known by a class.  The same test will be used at the end of the year to measure understanding.

  1. Great post! I am amazed by how easy it is to make a Google Form. Google posts all of the results of the form (which could be like a test or a survey) into a spreadsheet and puts it in your document list. So handy and easy!

  2. I've been using google forms for sharing of laboratory data and it works great! Unlike most folks who create the form then populate the information into a spreadsheet, I make the spreadsheet first (so we have the final look the way we want it for graphing and data analysis) then create the form FROM the spreadsheet.

Either way this has save me HOURS of "sharing time" and A LOT of board space where student used to have to copy their information.

It also works so well with Moodle that students never realize they are working cross platform.

    1. I had no idea you could do that "backwards"! What a great idea.
